CN Cycle for CHEO Cycling and Walking Routes The CN Cycle for CHEO is a fun, non-competitive event that offers a wide range of cycling and walking routes for people of all ages and abilities. Our fully-supported urban cycling routes will be closed to traffic and offer a unique opportunity for individuals, groups and families to safely cycle along Ottawa’s most scenic corridors, including the picturesque Sir John A. Macdonald and Aviation Parkways, the Parliament Buildings which are a National Historic Site of Canada and the Rideau Canal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with its renowned NCC tulip beds.

Route details
Start at LeBreton Flats park. Cycle the Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway westbound lanes to Deschênes Rapids. Turn around. Cycle the Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway eastbound lanes to Wellington Street. Continue east on Wellington Street, south on Lyon Street, east on Laurier Ave. to Queen Elizabeth Driveway (QED).
Cycle south on QED to Prince of Wales Drive, continue south on Prince of Wales Drive to Heron Road. Turn east on to Heron Road westbound lane. Continue to Vincent Massey Park (VMP) off ramp. Go west around VMP driveway to Heron Road eastbound lane up to Riverside Drive. Turn south on to Riverside Drive, then west on to Hogs Back Rd.
Turn north on to Colonel By Drive. Continue north down Sussex Drive to Rockcliffe Parkway. Turn around just before St. Joseph Blvd. Take Rockcliffe Parkway back to Sussex Drive. Go south on Sussex then turn west on Wellington Street and return to LeBreton Flats Park.
There are four rest stops available along the route that have water and washroom facilities.
